IANA control root zone management in the domain name system DNS
They also perform other protocol related symbols and numbers. IANA is department operated by ICANN.

ICANN stands for Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and numbers.An organization which deals in names and numbers.It's a non-profit organization and situated in California, United state.Its launched in September  1998.Its main task is to oversee a number of internet -related tasks on behalf of the U.S Government.
